The School Fair by Kyle F

In the morning my dad was helping at the school fair before me and my mum arrived at school. I bought a ninjago stuffed toy from the toy making stall, next to hub 9. Then I bought a 3D printing ghost made by the seniors. After that I played tennis with Aarav on the court. I bought some sherbet with a lollypop, which was purple and tasted like grape and the sherbet was strawberry. We went on the the big playground and me, Aarav and Flynn played with me. After that we played with my Airjitzu, Then I had to sell cards outside the hub, but I got bored, so my Mum looked after it. Then it was time to go home because it was late. I had fun at the fair! That was the best day ever!

Kei te pēhea koe? Tell me how you really feel

Whaea Jacqs has shared with Hub 9 learners how to give many responses to the question: Kei te pēhea koe? (How are you?) Most of us admit we just say ka pai (good), or tino pai (very good). Now we have more phrases to explain how we are really feeling. Using our drawn faces below can you work out the following emotions and then how to respond in Te Reo? Happy, angry, sad, silly, confused, tired, frightened. We have had a great time challenging ourselves with these new phrases in Te Reo. Maybe you could challenge yourself today?

Top tips for athletics day activities

The rain didn't stop us from learning about athletics day. Hub 9 made some amazing connections on how to be successful during the events. Even what to eat before the big day! Athletics day is Week 5 - Thursday, 12th November.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Today was filming day in Hub 9 during our digital learning lessons.
We're going to be World Famous in the Manaiakalani Cluster thanks to our amazing movies about 'What would a cybersmart learner do?'

We wrote our scripts, practiced our acting with our buddy, and today we filmed it.
Mrs Grant was the chromebook director and Miss Campbell was the iPad director.  We had loads of fun!

It's important to be cybersmart when you work on your device and we hope you learn as much from watching our videos as we did making them.

Stay tuned...for our blog premiere.
